letter from our head teacher,
As head-teacher, and as a parent I have very strong feelings about St. Mary’s Ridge School. The atmosphere is unique. Each student is a special child given to us by God. It is our responsibility to educate each one of them, mind and soul. As a teacher I need to assist in preparing children for their future here and eternally. As a parent I have always felt that the most important job I have is to get my children to heaven. Sending my five children to St. Mary’s School will assist me in my job that God gave me. I feel that same way about the other students.
My job here feels like it is a calling
from God. I contemplated going to a public school after my husband passed
away. Financially and for extra benefits, I sure could use it, but my heart
is here. My feelings of spiritual commitment are stronger. Material things
are not the most important things in life, rather what God has sent us here
to do is the most important thing.
The
school is the heartbeat of the church and community. Each child is proof of
the reason we exist. Whether it is 40, 50, 94 or 80 children, each one counts
in God’s eyes. It is our responsibility to provide Christian formation and
education to prepare our children for their future.
